Kimberly Johnson, OD

Dr. Johnson attended UCLA where she studied biology and worked at the Jules Stein Eye Institute. She then attended the Southern California College of Optometry and graduated with honors. In addition to being certified in the treatment and management of ocular disease, she is the only optometrist in Santa Maria to offer vision therapy services.

Dr. Johnson and her husband Ethan love living on the Central Coast and look forward to starting a family here. They enjoy beach camping, visiting local wineries, and exploring all the Central Coast has to offer.

Christine L. Schmidt O.D.

Dr. Schmidt graduated with honors from the University of Alabama, Birmingham School of Optometry in 1987. She completed a one-year residency in hospital-based geriatric optometry at the West L.A. Veterans Administration Hospital.

In 1996, when California laws expanded the scope of optometric practice allowing for therapeutic treatment of eye disorders she became TPA certified. This enables her to treat ocular infections and allergies providing the highest level of eye care. She is a member of the American Optometric Association, and locally the California and Tri-Counties Optometric Associations.

Dr. Schmidt has been married for 24 years to Christopher Schmidt who teaches at Orcutt Junior High. They have two sons Christian and Michael. They all enjoy soccer, hiking, and camping and enjoying the beauty of the Central Coast.

Michelle

Michelle has been with the practice for 2 years and she has been in the optical industry for over 7 years. She has lived on the Central Coast most of her life and loves it here. In her spare time she enjoys camping with family and friends. Her favorite part of working in this office is the personal relationships we build with our patients.
